Nice for a change...this is good for the kid to have to fight for his job. Both Case and Goff have looked very good in practice.

Why would they give lip service to Mannion being in the starting competition? They just invested tons of draft capital in Foles and re-signed Keenum after talking him up as the starter to begin camp. Mannion's most likely ceiling is eventually winning the #2 job away from Keenum.

Because Fisher is a drama queen and he revels in just throwing crap out there to see what gets stirred-up. Otherwise, you'd have to come to the obvious conclusion that Snisher are in over their heads and really are just winging it hoping things get better.

Mannion is just the odd man out. If Keenum doesn't do well or gets hurt and Goff looks clueless, Mannion SHOULD get a shot.. but this is Fisher we are talking about.

Keenum wins the job unless Goff starts looking crazy good. Keenum will hold the job through week 4 or so. Kinda like what they did with GRob

And then, because GRob and Barnes will not be up to speed again, Goff will get Bulgerized in a hurry and Fisher will have to insert Mannion. This will be done in the usual drama queen fashion that he has created by being a total incompetent! We will all be back on here during and after the season, once again trying to figure out what the hell is going on and hoping for better with yet another draft.

One definition of insanity is doing the same things and expecting different results. Anybody see a pattern here?
