QB Bo Levi Mitchell Works Out For The Broncos

Bo just recently lead his Calgary Stampeders to the Grey Cup in the CFL

Mitchell is coming off of a championship season with the Calgary Stampeders in which he was named CFL Most Outstanding Player, CFL All-Star, and Grey Cup MVP.

Other than this article, I can't find out much more about the workout he had with the Broncos Tues Dec 11th

When ever I see something about a QB from the CFL making a possible move to the NFL, I always think of Warren Moon ... He was one the best QBs of his era .... and then there's that AFC playoff game in Jan 1992, which was one of my all time favorite Elway/Bronco moments vs the Oilers

Broncos one of three teams in the running : Jacksonville, Minnesota and Denver

Bo wants to go where he will have the best shot at playing time, so I think that puts Minnesota behind Denver

We could certainly sign him and pass on the QBs in this year's draft. I have not seen highlights or scouting report on him, but he maybe the best option going forward. With a new coach and OC I could see the dreaded open QB competition this year.

As much as Doug Marrone denied it, I still think Jacksonville - with their hiring of John Defilippo - is the favorite to land Nick Foles ..

Anything could happen, but if the Jags land Foles and Minnesota has Cousins, that would leave the Broncos as the clear choice if playing time and having an opportunity is a deciding factor

Bo looks OK, and it would be quite a story .. I'm sure he'd have the fans behind him if it's him vs Case in preseason ... heck, I'd love to see it, but realistically, he's a longshot

Joe Theismann, Doug Flutie, Frank Tripucka....

Scouting report from 2012 seems to indicate he’d have a better chance than most. Touted accuracy, quick release and decision making.

Welcome to 2019 my friends. Those QB’s were ancient. Not saying he can’t be something he is worth the look. But he wasn’t impressive in his first shot and I think at best he is a backup.

A scouting report based on three things doesn’t mean he is going to be the next Warren Moon.

1980’s CFL is way different then 2000’s CFL.
