Deserves it. Had a very good year goal-wise (24 lamp-lighters). How 'bout Brendan Morrison? Want him re-signed?

Yes, I do, but at a max of 1.5 million (preferably 1.25 to 1.3). Luckily, it appears that the salary cap will be over 62 million, so it provides the Flames some room.

no-move ... wow

Curtis Glencross's new deal with CGY is 4 year, $10.2M total, $2.55M annual cap hit and a no-move clause.

Flames continue to lead the league in that department...Who they need to move are Stajan and Kotalik.

Seems high on both counts.

With a no-move they should have been able to get him cheaper than that.

Yeah, the dollars are about 1/2 mill higher than I expected and then to throw in a NMC. Maybe Feaster ate Darryl Sutter (including his brain).

yah, in isolation I dont have a problem with the cap hit IF he continues to score over 20 per year

but the no movement ??? Flames couldnt even squeeze out a limited non move

Hey, could have been worse.

He could have eaten Sather and paid 3x what he did.

OK, Dash... flames need 6 players to fill the roster (including Tanguay), with under $600k each to do it (at $59.4m)

aaaaand GO!

/don't worry, I'll have to do the same math this summer, too.

It ain't going to be easy, that's for sure...Kotalik and one of Hagman/Stajan are going to be cut loose (that's the only way this is gonna work).

Kotalik's not included in those numbers (non-roster player of $3mill).
here's the calculator, if you want to use $62m.

lol @jstew's Weber inclusion. t'would be nice.
take that dream out still leaves room for Bieksa / Ehrhoff at $4.5-5.0 each, though.
