The gamble of going for it on 4th and 1 at his own 34 pays off for Fleck with the missed FG....now can they take advantage and get a couple 1st downs running the ball??? I don't think they can...

That's a bullshit call imo.....a loose ball on the field ttouched by someone out of bounds sure. But that ball was still in the air

So, I don't understand Fleck...he goes for it on 4th and 2 at his 32 cuz his D is getting worked and lucks out with a missed FG...which I understand him going for it...but after the missed FG his run game was getting beat up a little bit in the 2nd half and he needs to work clock, but runs on both 1st and 2nd down, which is conventional wisdom, then gets his 3rd down play stopped cuz they've run it about 5 times in the game. Now, he didn't use conventional wisdom on the 4th down call, so why not throw it on 1st or 2nd down when Purdue is loading the box and run blitzing on 1st and 2nd down? If you're going to be unconventional, the go all in, not half way...which to me is inconsistent and not really sending the best message to his team...the message is I believe in you and I'm going to do everything I can to help you win and F conventional wisdom.

Gophers got lucky

The TE extended his arm, I can see what the ref saw. I don't agree but wasn't as worst call in history

Mind you earlier Purdue got drive extended on PI when QB was throwing ball away, instead of settling for FGA they got a 1st and aTD, so it's not like refs didn't help Purdue

Refs were bad.

But Purdue made zero red zone stops, had Fg "blocked", and missed makeable FG. After the PI they had plenty of time facing defense showing no resistance and red hot QB threw duck over middle.

Not going apologize for a W

And MN seems to be on losing end of those calls more often

Purdue got fucked hard....no lube, extra sand and no warning kind of fucked....
Yes they did.

Honestly, I don't understand how that call was so wrong and not corrected.
