Did anyone read the article in the Philly.com in regard to Pronger's status? Not only is it unfortunate, but it is a very sad situation he's going through. He is suffering from PCS (post concussion syndrom). Very serious. He is extremely depressed. Now, I'm not an expert in this area by any means, but it sounds like he is fighting a very tough battle. I'm pulling for you Prongs. Hockey aside, I really hope he is getting the proper treatment he needs.

NOthing good about his situation. That is a real shame, and due to his style on-ice, he won't have nearly the public support others have facing the same issues. I guess that was his decision, but still a shame.

Lauren Pronger must be a very strong woman for what she has to deal with on a daily basis. She was interviewed at the Flyers wives carnival. She said that all she can do is pray. Fucking eh... This just sounds frightening. I've never had a concussion in my life.. at least not to my recollection. This is some very scary shit. I hope you recover Chris. I think just from reading, Chris may have no choice but to retire. Just my opinion.

He needs to retire. Family first. The problem is he would forfeit a lot of money. Therefore he has to go LTIR which screws the Flyers as LTIR cap relief doesn't count in the summer.

ya, LTIR would at least give them relief during the season.. and the 10% over rule should help them in the offseason
