Get rid of the Pro Bowl. These changes make it even worst IMO.

It's going to be weird seeing players from other conferences on the same team. It reminds me of pick up B-ball where one team is shirts and the others skins. Not sure about all the time issues that they have added, but anything would be better than what they put out a couple years ago. Willing to give it a shot and for the first time in a while might actually watch, just to see if its the same old, same old.

I don't think they should get rid of it, they should move it to the week after the Super Bowl and make it a normal football game, but with all stars.

Here's my problem with a NFL Pro Bowl game, unlike other sports football is super violent and players do not want to hurt anyone for a honorary game and it makes it a sham. Either play it for real or get rid of it.

I still don't get why they don't do a skills challenge.

QB drills: Distance + Accuracy throw, < 15 yard accuracy throw, release drills.
RB drills: 40 yard, Cone drills, Receiving drills,

Etc. etc. etc.

I'd actually watch that as a measure of skill for players at their position. Pro Bowl needs to die in a fire.

I've seen players say on TV they don't like it because they train 6 months going 100% and then all of a sudden, they are expected to get down in position and go 50-75% and cannot really hit. They are like you can't always just shut it off.

If the expectation was 100%, they would be mentally prepared far more. Most of the players wanted to play more games anyways and their team got beat. I think they can handle one more real game. They can allow team celebrations and stuff, but keep the actually game a real game.

Pro Bowl has to go. These guys have checked out and are ready for the offseason. You'll never get a 100% effort.

I wish they would move away from Hawaii and allow all teams to host, like the MLB ASG. Turn it into a skills competition where each position crowns a winner. Keep the voting for fans, all players participate if healthy.

Then, you can have each kicker do distance and accuracy. Return men can compete for their fastest 80 yard return with obstacles. Linemen can do bench press reps or squat reps. QBs can do accuracy throws. WR, TE, DBs, and RBs can do 40 yard dash, high jump, and obstacle drills. I envision it like the World's Strongest Man competition meets the Combine.

Players don't want to go full speed and hit each other after an entire season considering they are basically on vacation, and injuries could have big influence on off season contracts.

Book it!

If I had all power to change the pro bowl, I would change it into the skills challenge but with one little twist, before or after I would allow fans two hours to go onto the field where the players would have tables set up to give out autographs and talk with the fans. The players gain a bones fir making the pro bowl, go to Hawaii, and get recognized by there peers, while fans get to see just how talented these guys are, get autographs of there favorite player and the ability to actually talk with them. I think it would be a win, win.

^This. No player wants to ruin his career in an exhibition game, just get rid of the game. A skills competition would be cool, though.
