Pretty funny how people actually think Andrew Luck has been better than RW.

I used to think this. I'm a Manning fan. But I know that Brady is better now. Came to that realization last year.

If you mean how they are playing at the current moment compared to each other, I agree that Brady is better. But if you look at their overall careers, it's really close. It's not a clear answer either way on who is better.

The Andrew Luck hype wagon is mostly based around the fact that despite not having the most talent around him he has done good things. Also, he is arguably one of the most talented QBs in the NFL in terms of arm strength, accuracy and athleticism.

Manning/Brady is a different thread. Luck/Wilson, 32 of 32 take Luck. Wilson is a good player, saying he isn't as good as a clearly superior player isn't a knock. Is saying Chris Long isn't as good as JJ Watt an insult?

I'm just using Brady and Manning as an example. A 6th round pick Tom Brady has a more successful career than #1 pick NFL poster child Peyton Manning. And so far in their careers, 3rd round pick Russell Wilson has been more successful than #1 pick NFL poster child Andrew Luck. But just for fun, let's pull up Wilson's and Luck's stats and compare.

Wilson: 845 of 1323, 63.9%, 10,407 yards, 7.87 average per completion, 75 TDs, 28 INTs, 17 fumbles. 98.2 QB rating. Rushing: 326 attempts, 1986 yards, 6.1 ypc, 11 TDs, 9 fumbles. So that's 86 TDs, and 54 turnovers.

Luck: 1109 of 1899, 58.4%, 13450 yards, 7.08 average per completion, 89 TDs, 48 INTs, 22 fumbles. 85.4 QB rating. Rushing: 197 attempts, 949 yards, 4.8 ypc, 12 TDs, 7 fumbles. So that's 101 TDs, and 77 turnovers.

So nearly 600 more attempts, and only 3000 more yards? Less yards per completion. Only 15 more TDs, but 23 more turnovers? You can't even argue he's better stat wise. The only argument you have is...The future? Oh wait, you can pull the team argument too. But aren't QB's are supposed to make teams better?

Replace Wilson with Luck and the Seahawks would be working on their 4th straight SB title.

Another pro-Luck argument... and how bout that, it's built around a hypothetical.... who's saw that coming?

Now, back to realityland....

Of course its built around hypothetical, there isn't a way to proves ones argument. You compare apples to oranges on every single category so there is no real comparison. My contention is with Andrew Luck if he was on the Seahawks they would be a 3 peat champ.

That's just insane. Not even Brady could 3 peat.

But Luck could. Because you know, he wouldn't have any of the issues that he has now if he was on a better team.

Russell Wilson has had every opportunity to 3 peat but he hasn't. That's not all on him but he has the easiest opportunity to it as any QB in history and my firm belief is that Luck on the Hawks and they are better....it's not a knock on Wilson which is the main problem with homer Hawks fans. Anytime someone doesn't say their guy is the best they get offended.

Notice how none of them will address the actual argument and stats that I posted.

Patriots cheat. Obviously forgot to mention that. I don't care about the stats but most QB's would have done very well in Seattle with Lynch and a great defense when it comes to winning which once again is a team stat. Idiots and there ESPN. Teams win and lose games not just QB's.

Well way back in the day on another board the big thing was Kaep vs. Wilson. I think that one is settled.

It's pretty funny the lengths some people go to just to justify their opinion. Lets not factor in the fact that one QB plays on a team with vastly superior talent & the other QB plays in an offense that forces him to be the focal point of that offense.

Cool story brah...
Russell Wilson could never succeed as the focal point of an offense.
