Last time they played in this HOF stadium they lost Shaun Suisham to a catastrophic knee injury.... This field was well known to be incredibly hard & capable of injuring a lot of players. The NFL addressed that problem back in 2017 though and they replaced the turf.

Hoping for an injury-free day on the field.

The artificial turf at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio, will be replaced for next year's Hall of Fame Game, according to a source with the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

What are your top 5 things that you want to see from this first preseason game?

Mine:

1. OL Play... Specifically I'm looking forward to seeing how Green & Turner play. Don't know if Dotson or Banner will even play so I'm not looking for vast improvements collectively. Just want to see some individual play from a few pieces. The depth may not be very good so I'm not expecting much.
2. QB2 & QB3... I've been fooled too many times now with Rudolph. He always seems to look good in the preseason. I'm more concerned with Haskins. I think we could see a very heavy dose of Haskins this week. If Haskins looks somewhat comfortable then I think the 2nd Dobbs tenure is all but over.
3. DB play... Should get a really good look at the talented depth with Pierre, Brooks Jr, Maulet, Gilbert, Brown, etc. Layne could be on thin ice.
4. LB Depth... Lot of unknowns with this group outside of Watt, Highsmith, Bush, & Spilly. I don't think they will be giving Ingram much of a role, but they could. I suspect we will see a heavy rotation of Marsh, Roche, Miller & Watson.
5. Offensive rookies... Harris & Freiermuth are going to be the popular vote here so I put them last lol.

Mason has the start and will play into the 2nd quarter.

I hope he has a 2019-esque good preseason game, and then gets traded to the Colts the next day.

I'm praying that he shows out. I'd love it if Dobbs did too. I have zero desire to watch Mason at all this preseason.
