Top 5 players I can't wait to watch:

1. Trubisky
Obviously this guy is going to essentially determine the season... Need to see a glimmer of hope here.

2. Pickens
Needs no explanation if you've been following along with camp & the hype train going on.

3. OL (Daniels)
I yearn for OL improvements like I yearn for whiskey & smoked beef. Please let this be the year they show some level of competency.

4. Bush/Jack
Make or break time for Bush. If Flores is the coach we hear he is, then his impact on these 2 should be readily apparent.

5. Freiermuth
I'm expecting big things this year.

Leal and Pickens for me.

We need them both to be productive. Both had first-round grades and took hits before the draft. And they both have reportedly been phenomenal in camp.

We need that next man up for DE.

Not exactly. The reports favor Mason in the 7-shots drill. Trubisky has been better in 2-min drill. Mixed bag in 11-personnel drill. The first week Mason looked better throwing downfield, but both Trubisky & Pickett have looked better in recent weeks.

Appreciate the insight. With my new job ivr been so out of the loop. Have covid now. The upside is me, my one cat, and my laptop will watch the game in full on the hoop. If we had more guys here we could do watch parties lol.

I expected kenny to struggle up front. Theres no plans for pickett to start. So i just wanna see him out there. Doesnt matter what he does. Can't read a ton into this.

Yeah I chuckled a little when he came him and he was booed. Granted outside that throw to Pickens he was typical old Rudolph.
And even then Pickens made that a great catch.

Not going to lie Titty kisser wasn't much better, but he looked more like a starter than Rudolph.

Yeah i think its gonna be mason or kenny. Kenny has to go take it though. It cant be close or tomlin will go with mitch, and that is the right call. George pickens hype is unreal. But he has the skills to be a top 5 guy. He was a 5 star recruit and a top 10 pick before he got hurt. Crazy he fell.

Well that was certainly an entertaining first preseason game!

Couple takeaways:

• Offense didn’t look lost. I know they go with vanilla gameplays in preseason, but it was still encouraging to see everyone know their assignments & the OL performed well. Canada had his units well prepared.
• Quarterbacks all looked good. But you can tell we get a more mobile version when Mitch & Kenny are in. And LOL at booing Mason. Everyone is upset about all the fluff material we’ve been reading about him.
• ILBs were pretty rough outside of Myles Jack.
