Maybe I will be able to for those late games that start at 8:30 my time. But the holidays are the least likely time for me to post because well I don’t have work, I have family. The full extent of sports with my kids is playing or going to a game or wearing the colors or logo. Watching on TV is not something we do yet. When they get older and showing interest we will. And when we do watch together, I don’t think I will be on my phone.

Thanks.

Agree. You'll be using Siri to do voice-to-text transcribing, and submit posts by telling Siri to do it. ;)

No need to even pick up a phone, with Apple HomePod.

I wish you had started predictions during preseason.

I thought about playing, but wasn't sure if I wanted to do every game on a day.

After seeing how you did it for a few days, then it seemed like fun.

I could predict the preseason games now if that would help you. ;)

December 1, 2018:

331. Milwaukee Bucks over New York Knicks
332. Golden State Warriors over Detroit Pistons
333. Brooklyn Nets over Washington Wizards
334. Toronto Raptors over Cleveland Cavaliers
335. Houston Rockets over Chicago Bulls
336. Minnesota Timberwolves over Boston Celtics
337. Sacramento Kings over Indiana Pacers

Least confident in the Timberwolves, Kings, and Nets game.

347. Washington Wizards over New York Knicks
348. Toronto Raptors over Denver Nuggets
349. Houston Rockets over Minnesota Timberwolves
350. Los Angeles Clippers over New Orleans Pelicans

Wow, I could see most every game being wrong here. I might as well agree with you, @nuraman00 . When I say wrong, I just mean I could see it going either way. You’re probably right on the majority of them.

Golden State is the most likely (closest to) foolproof choice out of all of them.

Is this the first time we've agreed on all games in a day? I think it is.

Golden State, Washington, and and Brooklyn are the ones I'm the most confident in.

I don’t believe it is the first, but it is the most number of games in one day for sure.

December 4, 2018:

351. Chicago Bulls over Indiana Pacers (Interrim Coach’s first game)
352. Miami Heat over Orlando Magic
353. Dallas Mavericks over Portland Trailblazers
354. Sacramento Kings over Phoenix Suns
355. San Antonio Spurs over Utah Jazz (Because Utah is at home.)

If you had picked Phoenix, it could have been the first time we disagreed on every game for a day.

I think this thread should be merged with the Predictions Thread one. Because if I have to quote someone's predictions, I'm going to have to go to that thread, quote, then copy that quote in here.

I usually do not split them up between the two threads for a few weeks at a time. After two or three weeks, I move it over because the predictions thread becomes too long to actually go through and follow patterns. I was planning on updating the thread to underline and bold what I needed to bold.

When I moved them over the first time, I quoted the games you were referencing for you. I wanted the days that you were referencing to be in your posts. I didn’t do it this time.

I can copy and paste all posts from that prediction thread to this one if that works better for you. Will be in both threads. But I do want to keep the predictions one with just the predictions.

@MHSL82 is quiet today.

I wonder if that means he's going to the game? :)

No, if I had gone, we would have lost and I would have been responsible. I care too much about the Jazz than to do that to them.

If you had gone, the Jazz would have won by even more! Maybe we could have seen a game where the starters rest permanently at halftime.

You deprived the NBA of seeing history by not going.

I think it would be cool to find a stat on teams who had the most resting minutes. Meaning the longest time period in which a whole five starters were on the bench. This could happen when you were blown out. This could happen when you are winning by a lot. And it will of course happened it stretches during a normal game.

I would guess it to be Golden State, but I feel that they’ve won so many games but their players have played enough minutes that they probably don’t rest as often as they could. Rebuilding teams may go to their depth more often or maybe not. I don’t know.

I have not proofread this post so hopefully I don’t have a bunch of speech recognition errors.

Then there's also the case when the starters suck.

While I was following Portland in 2012-2013, there seemed to be a lot of games where they were down by double digits by the 6 minute mark.

Their most used starting lineup of Aldridge, Batum, Hickson, Lillard, and Matthews (60 games) was -29 for the season.

Portland Trail Blazers top five man units data from 82games.com

An entire bench unit of Smith, Barton, Babbitt, Freeland, and Leonard was only -8.
