Ill go 7-5 for Kentucky. We do have a few depth concerns, but we've also added quite a bit of talent this offseason, plus the new staff. Feels like we're getting overlooked. Stein has been recruiting like a monster for '27 and is in on big names for '28. Obviously, results on the field will dictate how those classes pan out. But right now, his first season, I think folks seem to be writing us off way too soon. Someone is getting upset by this team and gonna be salty.
Don't count on Castell to be worth anything at Safety. We were glad to finally be rid of him. Gates at Nickel was an actual player but has now suffered 2 serious knee injuries. I look forward to testing them out when we play y'all.

I’m. Not super encouraged by what I’m hearing out of camp about the offense
Who knew getting a QB out of the bargain bin who wasn't good enough for Auburn and wasn't in demand would not yield great results?

Is it too late to bring back Tommy Castellanos
He beat Bama. His peak was pretty good, honestly.

Tommy C wasn't amazing or anything after that, but this wasn't one of those seasons where you can just blame the QB.

1. No decent qb wants to play for us.
2. Even if one did, Mike would screw up the evaluation like he has with every single qb he’s signed. He’s signed multiple 4 start qbs. Not one is playing in a p4 school
3 the offensive line is an even bigger concern for me than qb.

So not great

I have you guys down as a trap game.

Gonna depend on how improved the defense is. The offense should be good as usual...Riley seems to have finally learned that defense is important. Made some good hires for that side of the ball and they have upgraded the talent.

Need to see it translate to the field though.

Im curious how much of the leaning on a win vs USC is based on what many of us USC fans are calling favorable scheduling. Oregon gets a FCS team before traveling to the Coliseum. While USC gets to travel 3 time zones to face Rutgers that same week. Sure Rutgers isnt a great team but they have a running back that was 3rd in the B1G in rushing yards last year. Im sure its tougher than facing a FCS team.

Let me also point out that USC faced #21 Iowa before traveling to Oregon last year. In case you were wondering Oregon faced unranked Minnesota at home prior to playing USC. So as im seeing it at every turn its Oregon getting scheduling advantages. Just Imagine for a second that Oregon is playing @ USC AFTER you guys face Ohio st or Michigan. Oh yeah and the B1G decided Oregon needed a 2nd straight home game vs USC when they joined the B1G. Oregon hasnt had to play in the coliseum for a regular season game since 2019. whats that 7 years now? and its advantages galore when they finally do smh.

I hope USC can survive playing on the road against mighty Rutgers, who is currently losing to Umass 24-7. Umass was 0-12 last year.

Bro the schedule before USC plays Oregon is literally San Jose State, Fresno State, Louisiana and Rutgers. Nobody is going to feel like USC got screwed. Oregon plays two opponents that are tougher than anyone USC plays before the two teams meet up.

Nah.

With his buyout it gets lowered AFTER the season. A mid-season firing is pointless.
