What is Elway suppose to say, he needs to sell the fans on the move. But he doesn't believe it either, that is why they traded up to get Lock

I think Elway's worried about his own legacy in Denver. I've even heard lifelong Broncos fans say it. Just look @ the shit QB's he's drafted. Osweiler, Lynch, Siemen. Maybe Lock's a good pick but judging by past QB draft history I doubt it.

He should be a nominee, Aaron could have a down year and still win it on rep
Nah, you have to factor in voter fatigue at that point.

Of all of those I think Myles is the only legit shot.
I wouldn't underestimate the talent on your team. Not sure where your defense is but I expect the Browns to have a top 3 offense.

I wouldn't say that. We saw what Baker could do without Hue and Haley there. Another offseason under his belt, and now adding OBJ. He could have an absolute monster year. I think Mahomes coming in last year and bombing 50 TDs was more unlikely than Baker possibly winning it this year.

I'm just cautiously optimist about the Browns this year. And while this is the first season since the 90's I've honestly looked forward to a season starting I refuse to buy the hype. They've been awful for too long to jump on that Hype Train & believe anything right now.

Alotta teams have looked good on paper. They have to look good on the field. I think (or hope) the offense will click but the D is still a mystery, hopefully they'll be better than last year.

I have two concerns on the Browns on the Browns, Mayfield and Kitchens. I get the hype on Mayfield but he did not do well vs. winning teams last year. I expect him to improve this year, but by how much. Kitchens just has a lot of inexperience

So last year Baker had 4 games against teams with top 10 pass defenses:
vs. Baltimore - 25/43, 342 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT
at Baltimore - 23/42, 376 yards, 3 TD, 3 INT (also had a perfectly-thrown 97 yard TD pass dropped by Landry)
vs. LAC - 22/46, 238 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT
at Pittsburgh - 22/36, 180 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT

All in all, I'm not upset with those numbers coming from a rookie QB, especially considering 3 of them were in the first half of the year when they still had dipshits Hue and Haley on the coaching staff. He improved dramatically over the 2nd half of the year once Kitchens took over. Couple that with the fact the Browns had the 9th most drops in the NFL, I think improvement seems likely.

What's he coming back from? He played in all 16 games, and had over 4400 yards with a 25/2 TD:INT ratio. He had a pretty stellar year.

Well, shit. For some reason I thought he got hurt. Guess I was thinking about the season before.

Gimme Deion Jones, then

I was between him and Keanu Neal, I think both are solid choices

Yeah, and what was his record versus winning teams he only beat Ravens early in the season when Hue was the coach. Passing stats can be misleading, when your get killed you're forced to pass, scoring some garbage time TDs too. Blown out by the Chiefs, Chargers, Steelers, and Texans. The few quality teams he played.

This year will be interesting, see how much has he improved and luckily the schedule doesn't look too daunting besides playing Rams and Patriots

The dude can't also play defense. He also can't control WRs who drop passes. There's a reason his qualitative grades last year were so great. He made some of the best passes of the entire NFL year, and he clearly has the ability to be a franchise caliber QB. Just a matter of if it all comes together.

That is why I said I can understand the hype, just saying he has some things to prove. Kitchens is a bigger concern, this all knew for him being a head coach.
