Pre-Season Finale: Bears vs Browns

Look on the bright side... Next game-thread, it'll be real Bears football.

At the very least, there's going to be some guys out there fighting for their NFL lives and throwing themselves around with zero regard. There's always some entertainment in this last game.

Interested in seeing who we'll have out there tonight. Looks like Trub will take 1st half, and Shaw the 2nd. I'm assuming there's some open competition at the back-end of the WR position. Cruz, Gentry, Davis... etc...

Looks like Floyd has been practicing, and McPhee could get cleared soon as well. Good news.

A little surprised to see Sanchez getting sat out. I think that it may mean that Trub is our #3 heading into the season.

I think the big point of pre-season here, is getting Trub as many game-speed reps as possible.

I hear you. I'm sure he's been told to get down when on the run... etc...

Especially with guys out there flying around, trying to do anything to get noticed and make a roster. Playing with zero regard for anyone's safety, it will certainly be a good sight to see him safe on the sidelines in the 2nd half.

He needs reps... he's going to get hit sooner or later. Can't prevent that.

admittedly I haven't really been watching this div 3 game much tonight... but didn't someone ask for Conner Shaw to get an chance in a QB competition awhile back? Come on now. (A.I. has had his moments of crazy, but that was just insane.)

I have the game DVR'd and I will watch tomorrow. Who got hurt? Obviously no starters played, so it can't be anyone of great importance...

Yup. Acho will have to step up his game, and Dan Skuta sucks. How many times was he in the backfield last week only to have the RB juke his ass to his knees and blow right by him.


With Houston's history, it seems that is a position they neglected this offseason.

Well, I think they thought they had a healthy Floyd, McPhee and Willie Young. So, I can't entirely blame them. Acho is a solid depth piece. McPhee is reportedly somewhat close, Floyd has been practicing, Willie looks good... so I think we'll be fine.
