Have to remember, a first grader with finger paint could draw up a better defense than Mike Stoops. Anything is an upgrade. I am willing to give him a few years to get the right folks recruited and the defense humming a better tune.

Maybe Stoops and Co. decided some time ago that you weren't stopping these high-flying offenses so why not just get into an offensive arms race year after year raiding every 7 on 7 camp in texas?

Boatracing for years and getting shit on in every NC opportunity for being so unbalanced as the years progressed.

ISU, Baylor, TCU and K-State defensive recruits are lower rated than both OU and Texas. And, they seem to play better defense than either. I think the "bunch of entitled" Goldberg referenced is a bigger factor.

I would add that one of the first interviews I remember reading with Grinch, he mentioned spending a lot of time trying to break bad habits. The last two games, a lot of the "older" players seemed to have reverted back to old form. The newer players seem to be playing more disciplined ball.

Lets also remember there have been some injuries defensively and there is not as much depth defensively either (a 4* WR was asked to play as a defensive back).
