This is the second time M's prospect Boog Powell has failed MLB drug test. Also suspended 50 games in 2014 for amphetamines while with A's.

Just out of curiosity, what happens if the Mariners were to say F U and keep playing him. Obviously wouldn't happen but what is an ump going to do if they run him out there.

Powell was over-hyped when we acquired him. I'm not sure what they thought they saw in him, but it certainly hasn't materialized. He hit fairly well before he got to AAA, but he has no power and his speed is way overrated (66 steals in his minor league career but has been caught stealing 47 times. That's a god awful ratio). Ackley, Franklin, Romero and Miller all had a better minor league resume than this guy and look how they ended up.
