Mike Florio theorizes that with the improved QB play expansion is inevitable within the next 10 years. I figure it would be 36 teams meaning 4 new franchises. I'm not exactly a proponent of this, but if it happens so be it. Where would the four new teams be located? I've watched some YouTube videos and looked online at some ideas. One video had:
(1)Austin, TX
(2)San Diego, CA
(3)*San Antonio, TX
(4)*Louisville, KY
(5)St Louis, MO (I don't think so)
(6)*Portland, OR
(7)Honolulu, HI
(8)Birmingham, AL
(9)Orlando, FL
(10)*Omaha, NE (Warren Buffett and his crew could swing it)

For the sake of argument I chose the four cities with an asterisk. Let's see how it would look if the league was realigned "correctly" with 6 divisions of 6.
West--LAC, LAR, LV, Portland, SEA, SF
Midwest--ARZ, DAL, DEN, HOU, KC, San Antonio
North--CHI, DET, GB, IND, MIN, Omaha
South--ATL, JAX, MIA, NO, TB, TEN
Central--BAL, BUF, CIN, CLE, Louisville, PIT
East--CAR, NE, NYG, NYJ, PHI, WAS

THERE'S NO WAY THEY WOULD ____________________ (insert angry response here).

There may be some people who are actually for this. I chose the four cities at random where I think it could work. Feel free, of course, to choose your own cities and realignment.

Louisville Mustangs
Omaha Twisters
Portland Cougars
San Antonio Marshals
...just spit balling. :D

The more teams the level of play weakens.

Think if the NFL was only 16 teams. 32 is way too many.

Expansion? Probably. The NFL likes money
Breaking up traditional rivalries? No chance.

"Improved QB play" is an interesting concept in a league where almost none of the 1st round QBs have stuck around on the teams that have drafted them.

Well shit.... how about just 2 teams. They would be fucking loaded. :L

We see it in the NCAA, Alabama would beat Coe by 100 points, maybe more.

The best 16 QB's in the world, beats the hell out of the best 32.

San Antonio and Austin are neighbors. They could place a team between the 2 cities and call them the Texas ________.

It's not impossible.

If the Seahawks and Dolphins play each other it's a 3300 mile trip
The distance between NY and London is just under 3500 miles

Now I don't agree with it but it's certainly doable if other factors are taken care of too.

What veteran players will move the family to London?

Florio is a moron. Improved QB numbers doesn't mean improved QB play. It speaks more to the rules changing and the teams adopting more high flying college offenses.

Kirk Cousins just put up 4,265 yards, 35 TDs to 13 INTs. Those numbers look a lot like Peyton Manning's numbers (aside from his insane 04' season) when he was being selected to multiple All-Pros in the mid-2000s.

Would you consider Kirk Cousins to be anywhere near as good of a QB as Manning in his prime? Hell no.

Expansion is a terrible idea that would unbalance the schedule and water down the existing talent pool. 32 teams is perfect.

Sorry for the rant, I just can't stand Florio.

If they put it in San Diego they gut the Chargers fanbase.
I say 1st - don't expand.
If you do - Alabama!

Sports league expansion during an economic down turn???
There's a reason the XFL isn't rushing to re-open.

If/when the NFL ever expands again it will do so in locations that significantly increase NFL revenues. Which locations will bring in over half a billion dollars in NEW money?
