Boy, there sure is a ton of optimism out there regarding the 2019 season. I dare say, these predictions are quite a bit off from the national perspective. Playing in a tough division, with a tough schedule this year doesn't seem to scare most of you. I'm curious if it's the Fangio effect, the Flacco effect, the 2018 draft class's anticipated progression or this year's draft class that's creating such enthusiasm. I'm guessing it's mostly the homer factor! It will be interesting to see how much these predictions change after camp and pre-season is over. A lot can happen between then and now:

I think all of us would be very happy is the average of the above predictions came true. The Broncos would go 10-6 and Von Miller would have 17 sacks. A good year indeed!

USA Today and Sports Illustrated have projected the Broncos to have a 4-12 record in 2019. Again, a far cry from the optimism laid out here. Of course, I trust my fellow Bronco fans more than any national, crappy-ass writer. Based on predictions, the Broncos are going to be pretty good or really bad. Kinda crazy the difference between the local and national perspectives.

Of note, just reminding everyone that I'm still the reigning POTM. So if I make a post in my special month, it should be met with enthusiastic "likes", "winner", "cake rewards" and any number of other positive Hoop ratings. It's my month to be a vanity whore. As we all know, it's short lived so get it while you can!

@MileHigh64 Pretty lowkey month on the board this month, but MH came in and drew some nice convo.. I wasn't around much but looking at it, he seemed to have some key points to the upcoming season. Always appreciate his takes and he adds some good humor to the board with a good personality.

Things should be ramping up soon. Get ready to pull your hair out! Seems like we were just watching the SB but the NFL is right around the corner again.
