You're right the 2020 season was a disaster for LSU. But when you lose most of your starters to graduation / the NFL and your assistant coaches to promotions elsewhere, and have to get a new defensive coordinator with a new defensive scheme then combine it with almost no practice time due to COVID, you get a defense that has no idea what they're doing. And looked like it during their early losses. Then you lose your starting quarterback.

If they get normal off season prep this year, they may not be the juggernaut they were in 2019, but they'll be WAY better than 2020.
