They got better
Dez is better than Trae Young.
Dez is better than Austin Carr
Dez is better than Cameron Meredith
why? he's better than every receiver on their roster other than Thomas ... like bk said, they got better talent-wise today and, most likely, Dez will be a good teammate and behave himself because he is auditioning for an off-season contract.
Yep and if he is a cancer here then is career is likely over.
Might as well pair the guy with the 89% catch rate with the guy that has a 52% catch rate.
i got a chuckle out of that but I'm just going to go out on a limb and say Dez's catch rate with Brees 'might' be a bit higher ....
Low risk and they can always cut him if he gets disruptive or can't play. Once the trade deadline is up there really aren't many choices.
Exactly. I don't see what is so difficult to understand
You would think they just signed Dez to a 5 yr deal with the same some are acting. It is literally a 2 month rental. Let's get a superbowl ring.
I think people will be LOL'ing at you! HAHA
You think so BK?
I don't know man watched your boys on Sunday and thought they looked just fine and dandy to beat the crap out of teams in the playoffs...
Crazy stat of the day. Michael Thomas has 70 receptions on the year. All of the other Saints receivers on the roster have a combined 38. The Saints needed another reliable set of hands.
they are really, really thin at WR ... Brees is making that thing work basically with just Thomas and Kamara ... that's how damn good he is.
Dez gives him another possible target .... I don't think Dez is going to get a ton of work but Brees needed another option if Thomas and Kamara aren't open
I would also imagine this QB and head coach have the credibility to keep him in line
Apparently a one-year deal.
Can't laugh at the Saints for trying this.
Name one WR who did anything outside of Thomas though?
Good point! But to be fair Thomas had Peters on him and Peters has been over rated since his days at UW!
Saints WR leader in receptions on after Michael Thomas
Teddy Ginn and Tre Smith at 12 receptions lol.
If you guys can't see how thin the Saints been at WR all year long then I can't help you
Good move for the Saints - They were down to 3 receivers I believe, and outside of Thomas no WR had more than like 12 catches. Type of situation where you want a veteran. I'm sure they got him on the cheap.
Separate names with a comma.
