There are actually some decent options in this group (or the Giants could reunite with one of many of the guys on this list in bold). Name (age) - 2019 OPS:

Wilmer Flores (28) - .848
Brock Holt (32) - .771
Brian Dozier (33) - .771
Adeiny Hechavarria (31) - .742
Jason Kipnis (33) - .715
Addison Russell (26) - .699
Ben Zobrist (39) - .671
Devon Travis (29) - .656 (2018)
Joe Panik (29) - .651
Gordon Beckham (33) - .643

Yolmer Sanchez (27) - .638
Scooter Gennett (30) - .568
Yangervis Solarte (32) - .562
Eduardo Nunez (33) - .548

It’s Dubon’s job to lose until he moves to SS.

Hoping Craw has a bounce back year to stick it in steroid coach’s craw.....but there’s really no other option. Let’s see what the impressive, yet raw, young man has.

Would have been ok with Holt had they kept Bum and Vogt around, but now, let’s go youth movement full steam ahead.

Not quite in a youth movement yet. The Giants currently have 8 guys (out of 61) coming to spring training under the age of 25. Only 3, Conner Menez, Logan Webb and Keon Wong, have a decent chance of making the team. Wong is the most likely to make the Opening Day roster. The other two will probably be starting the year in AAA.

I should take that analysis to completion. There are 39 players coming to spring between the ages of 25 to 29. The remaining 14 players are 30 or older. 5 of them are spring training invites. Jerry Blevins (36) is a virtual lock to make the team going into camp and both Tyson Ross (32) and Rob Brantly (30) have a serious chance to make the team. The rest are Tyler Anderson (30), Brandon Belt (31), Donovan Solano (32), Brandon Crawford (33), Buster Posey (33), Johnny Cueto (34), Evan Longoria (34), Tony Watson (34) and Jeff Samardzija (35). That is the entire starting infield (including catcher), the main backup infielder, the likely closer and two fifths of the starting rotation (as well as the possible 5th starter). The team won't be that young starting the 2020 season.

No offense LhG, but Not entirely sure what he’s supposed to do in those spots? Or what you’re expecting? Kick the vets off the team? Other teams aren’t exactly lining up to trade for Posey/Belt/Crawford/Longo. Kind of have to ride that wave and slowly look for opportunities to phase out or rid yourself of those awful contracts.

Plus, imho, it’s not wise to just bring up a bunch of kids that aren’t ready. Or even if there re some who are ready, you still need a good mix of veterans to teach them the way to be a professional.

Not trying to advocate something, just making the point that the youth movement hasn't hit the big league club.
