Both legendary winners, that played for one organization only, both getting far more love than their raw numbers would indicate...it's called baseball charisma. One a playboy, one a Southern family man, both among the platonic ideal of 'baseball player'.

Yes or no? Discuss lol

How's THAT for a tribute thread?

Posey’s glass leg bones lead to the worst rule change in sports history and Derek Jeter was literally the biggest defensive liability in baseball from 2003 through his retirement(probably before then too, but the rating system only goes back to 2003)

Posey was 14 of 61 with two extra base hits in his 16 WS games.

.230/.288/.328

Then there was that time he didn’t want to play a season, despite being under contract

First of all, fuck you both. Secondly, see my first statement.

Don’t @ me, bro. I’m not entertaining your nonsense.

Smartest thing he ever did sitting out that abortion of a season. You're ridiculous.

The Posey rule is bad. But the worst rule in the history of sports happened before either of us were born (I think we're both in our 30s). With the 1973 AL induction of the Designated Hitter. The NL foolishly doubled down on the rule this year.
