Thanks to the loss to Dallas, I couldn't come up with a single scenario where we make the playoffs if we lose to Pittsburgh. Even if Pitt loses the other two games, they still would make it over us. If all three teams, and Indy finished at 9-7, we would be the team left out due to various tiebreakers. Next week is literally a must-win.

We have zero chance of winning that game.

There's always next season, though.

Actually, if Pitt loses to Cleveland (lol) in week 17, we would still make it, even if we lost to Pitt next week.

Everyone, and I mean everyone, knows that if the Steelers/Bengals game has any real meaning, the Steelers always win. I can't remember even a single time we beat them and it really mattered. And don't bring up the 2005 game in Pittsburgh that we beat them to clinch the division. They beat us in the playoffs when it really mattered, sending them on to a world championship and Carson Palmer to a surgeon's knife. All the relevant evidence says we are their bitch, and we pretty much alway have been. Even in our two Super Bowl appearances, the Steelers were irrelevant those years.

Best Scenario, pray for a tie vs the Stealers, you both get in and bump our sorry asses out.

Unless I'm mistaken Cleveland already beat Pitt once this year and are playing damn good football right now. I'm not sure I see the LOL in that thought.

And has no one paid attention to the steelers the playoff pattern the last 9 years? This is their year to be out.

God I hope this isn't a repeat of 2006. The Bengals ruined my Christmas and New Years that year.

Just think back to the 90's we would be talking about the draft a month or two ago. Two games left and the Bengals in the playoff hunt is happening more and more.

That is true, but we know what the next step must be. Get the Steeler monkey off our back once and for all, then win a playoff game. Hanging around in contention is ok, but just once let's kick the damned door in

Actually, if we beat Pittsburgh, and lose to Baltimore, we could be letting the Jets into the playoffs, they have a cake schedule.

Pittsburgh is going to kick our ass. We'll have to count on Cleveland to do our dirty work.

Pittsburgh offense has not been real good really, and our defense is playing the best ball they have all season long. We are such a different defense than we were the first time we played Pitt, and especially Baltimore.

Our offense has actually declined a bit the past several weeks, but the Pittsburgh defense, as good as they are, they seem to have some chinks in the armor and have given up some plays.

As long as our offense can protect the ball and capitalize on 75% of their red zone chances, we stand a very good chance of beating Pittsburgh. It will not be easy, but this is our first playoff game and hopefully we come out with a little fire under us. We have more momentum right now than Pitt, but we have to step up and beat them in their house.
