Well, to say I have questions is an understatement lol. Jacksonville to win the division? Chargers get a wild card spot? New England doesn't make the playoffs?

Can't really argue about the NFC. It's pretty plausible that's how the NFC goes down.

Forgot to predict the Super Bowl man! Need to see who wins between Russ and Pat!

I feel like there is enough tape on KC and Baltimore that the Steelers, Colts, and Patriots should be able to be in the mix come playoff time. I do think that KC is a heavy favorite for the 1 seed but they are certainly no lock to make it to the Super Bowl. Titans, Bills, and Browns are pretty solidly the 2nd tier imo but they have elements that you want to be in a Super Bowl run, too. 8 good teams, 7 playoffs spots. AFC is in a stronger position that usual.

NFC is doing their thing where 1 division is garbage but there is so much good QB play in the NFC that almost every game outside of the NFC East seems like a marquee matchup. My brain tells me that the Bucs should be the favorite but my gut tells me that Brady is still a pick 6 machine and that Seattle and Green Bay are still where its at.

The AFC:

A) Yes. I believe that Hebert can lead them to the Promised land.

B) I will change this to Titans.

C) I don't trust Cam Newton. I'm not a huge believer in him.

Much like Russ/Seattle in 2003, I believe that the Panthers led Cam to the SB in 2005.

Seattle 34 Kc 27. Russ or T.O. 2.0, Metcalf, gets the SB MVP

In order to get the #5 seed, Herbert would likely have to finish the season 10-2. He is currently 0-3.

Not sure Jags or Chargers make the playoff let alone 4 and 5 seed. Steelers and Colts are better teams, Colts have the top defense

Id say Titans before I say Colts.

Steelers. As much as I admire big B he has a knack for getting hurt. If he does, there goes Steelers chances

I would have both the Colts and Titans over the Jags too.
AFC
1. Chiefs
2.Ravens ( but barely in that division)
3. Bills
4. Colts
5. Steelers
6. Titans
7. Browns ( barely ahead of Pats)
I don't think the Pats can get good enough or consistent enough QB play although BB will keep them in the hunt.
NFC
1. Packers
2. Seahawks
3.Bucs
4. Cowboys ( their ofc gets them just enough to get them above .500 )
5. Rams ( one game back of Seattle or maybe even tiebreaker)
6. Saints
7. Bears ( sneak in just ahead of Niners & Cards )

Play-offs is a bit of a crap shoot other than maybe K.C. A lot of luck involved, injuries, etc. but just for shits and giggles, I will go with a rematch of SB XL and Seattle gets revenge on the Steelers but somewhere in there the refs completely fuck up an important call in Seattle's favor and Steeler fans go nuts. Apologies ahead of time to some of my favorite Pitt posters on here, lol. Cheers fellas.

Again. Completely forgot about the Jags in the playoff spot. Will change with the Titans

Lots of potentially interesting Super Bowl possibilities. Removing Mahomes vs top NFC QB you still have:

Patriots vs Tompa Bay (this would break the internet)
Patriots vs Chicago (Nick Foles returns)
Colts vs Tompa Bay (Rivers against Brady)
Colts vs Saints rematch (Rivers against Brees)
Patriots vs Seahawks rematch (always a good game)
Packers vs Steelers rematch

Herbert would probably have to go 9-3, 10-2 in order to make it as a wild card so I think your a bit too early on the Herbert bandwagon. He's gonna be good, lots of promise seen in his first few starts but IDK about them being a playoff team yet.

As seen last night, the Patriots are a much different team without Cam Newton. I agree to a certain extent about the Panthers leading Cam to a SB instead of the other way around, but Cam did his thing too. He was the MVP for a reason. Cam has been unfairly judged the last 2-3 years because he's been playing injured. It's either his ankle or his shoulder each of the last 2-3 years and then the Panthers just throw him away as if, when healthy, Cam isn't a top 10-12 QB in this league. He's not gonna give you 300-400 yards passing each game, but he will be a dual threat and he's shown that in his first 3 starts.

We can revisit this come December, January, but with a healthy Cam Newton, there is a 0% chance that the Patriots miss the playoffs. There's not enough competition right now in the AFC for me to think some other team will knock the Patriots out. That's the good thing about these predictions, I think. We get to judge (fudge) teams on a week by week basis. Each week is different and each matchup is different.

I see some Arizona votes in here. I'm not quite sure they are a playoff team yet
From what I've seen, it's either between Arizona, San Francisco or MAYBE Carolina, not too sold on Carolina yet. I've seen Arizona beat the Niners already and I don't see them being good enough to get a wild card spot with Mullens as QB and with Bosa out. I do believe that Bosa's absence will have a huge impact in the long run (it already has had an impact) and with the uncertainty of when Jimmy G will return, I have to give it, by default, to the Cardinals. The Bears offense is allergic to the endzone right now so I can't put confidence in them yet. But I do believe the Cardinals' schedule will be a huge factor in deciding the last WC spot. They still have to play the Jets, Cowboys, Dolphins, Philly and Giants and to be, there's 5 wins, at worst, 4 wins. That gives them 7 wins there and I do believe they can pull off 2 more wins over either the Niners again, LA and maybe even New England. I feel that Arizona has the better odds at this point. Certainly, things change week over week. Shit, I think I had Arizona as a 5 seed 2 weeks ago lol.
