I would like to thank former coach Greg Gilbert and former GM Craig Button for not playing and subsequently letting Martin St. Louis walk away and get nothing in return.

Nice work, gents!

That was a dozen or so years earlier...but it still stinks.

for some reason I thought St Louis was around the same time. it seems likes been a forever fixture in this league.

that being said we took Petr Nedved over Jaromir Jagr :)

I can accept that one because no one thought he would be allowed out of Czechoslovakia ... and then the Pens call out his name and bang ... he walks up to the stage with that fuckin mullet

the one I dont accept is we took Nedved over Primeau

I wonder how many points Datsyuk would have playing with two hands? Kesler has been outstanding.

while we are piling on, that is a rather similar story to this guy.

The difference being who knows if the Flames win a Cup in '89 without Rick Wamsley providing Vernon with rest during the regular season and Rob Ramage being a steady depth defenseman for the Flames.

Besides, Hull's ego wouldn't have kept him in Calgary much longer in any event.
