The tone was set in the SF/SEA game from the first play. .... their defense/ST are certainly for real - pretty much had their way with '9ers.

@HaroldSeattle must be a happy guy today. ...
Speaking of the first play, watching the kicker try to trip Shaheed was sort of funny but yeah I was a happy guy watching that game.

First thing I thought of was; that guy makes his living from that leg - an attempted arm tackle would've made more sense. ...

What a game, 2nd half was electric. Didn't think Seattle was going to be able to keep Stafford off the field but Darnold came up big.

Think he's a lock for mvp unless walker goes nuts

I think too many people are counting the Patriots out.

They have a pretty good chance IMO. Their defense is nasty too.

I think the Patriots will stay in it and if "ghost Sam" shows up they have a great chance to win. I'm betting there will be one or two phone calls to Belichick if his girlfriend lets him talk to Vrabel.

Just to pile on what Bandit said-
We've seen Sam Darnold fold., the fact that he hasn't yet, just makes me feel more like he's due to, than that he won't. I can totally see NE winning this game.

If I'm laying money on it, I'm betting on the Seachickens - but I sure ain't betting much, and I wouldn't bet them to cover

I believe this is the first time that the 2 teams with the best scoring margins in the regular season are playing each other in the Super Bowl since the Pats/Eagles Nick Foles game. If you don't believe that the AFC sucked ass this year then you should probably think its a good game.

I do think the AFC was ass this year, Nix injury robbed us of an epic SB, I hope Maye can keep up.

Stafford has been the only QB scoring on Seahawks defense since Thanksgiving

That is exactly how I see it too.

Too many people assuming Seahawks are a lock.

Defense wins championships

I'd easily bet on the Seahawks defense over the Patriots defense.

But at the end of the day, I love the thrill of chasing parlays, so I'll be building a Seattle one and a Patriot one, lol

Warren Sharp put out a great breakdown of Drake Maye vs cover 6 defense, McDermott being first coach to use it specifically vs Maye, other teams copying it, and the QB metrics Maye produced vs cover 6

Also, Seattle plays most cover 6 out of all playoff teams, 3rd most in the league in regular season.

Summary: Maye was one of best QBs in league vs man and all non-cover 6 zones, but was one of the worst in the league vs cover 6

I mean yeah, agreed..however..how many times can you fall short in the playoffs and still expect to keep your job when you know the expectation is the SB and that anything less is to be considered a failure?

I can see the merit in the arguments for McDermont..but I would've done the same exact thing. Doesn't matter how good the guy next to you is, if he's not getting you to the next step further, and the goal has been out of reach, it's time to pivot.

You could question if the GM has done a good job with the roster before you decide to let go of the HC. I guess the Bills feel their GM has done a good job with the roster but IDK if that is the case. Guess we shall see.

The real kick in the pants here is that I read that McDermott was a big reason Beane got the GM job to begin with, tough business
