Because the money came from what Ohtani has done for baseball.
Nah. Baseball was financially fine before Ohtani and it will be fine after he is gone.
do you even know what you are arguing anymore. I made a claim that if Ohtani was banned or suspended baseball would have been dead.

Yeah I know what I am arguing. Baseball would not be dead. Ohtani is not a baseball God and therefore is not baseball's savior. He is merely a very good player who puts people in seats, like about 40-60 other players in MLB.
I do admit that is an overstatement. But seems like you agree now.

Except after every scandal baseball lost fans and a lot of money.

If you give your best money maker a scarlet letter that is only going to hurt even more. And when that player is the biggest reason the dodgers are the biggest revenue team in baseball. And that player is the biggest reason that money making franchise won 2 championships.

I just can’t see baseball being as healthy revenue wise as it is without Ohtani and the dodgers. And scarlet lettering your bridge to the Asian markets is not a good thing either.

Again. You made the statement that Ohtani was only protected because he played at a big revenue franchise. To me, it is clear that baseball would have protected him no matter what.
