Yes, one starter, a reserve OL and a TE who was going to redshirt really made the difference. We beat Notre Dame and Alabama by a combined score of 74-19 without them. Imagine how bad we would have beat Washington, a team who has a grand total of seven points in the playoffs.

Yes and they spam 17 year old kids with their cherry picked crap
It's worse because they are actually lying to them. This math is on a University of Alabama bad level.

You know what we call 2 stars at Alabama....long snappers. LOL, who the fuck recruits 2 stars... Shit, signing a 3 star means we didn't get the kid we really wanted and had to settle.

Iowa. And some of them end up in the NFL. If it is a 3-star and makes a top 500 list, that is a 5-star to Iowa.

The data is based on 2010-2015 recruiting classes. Peterson was hired in 2014. In fact, most of the teams on the list don't have the coaches responsible for the data used in this graph.

2013 - 2019 NFL draft ... it states it at the bottom of the pic.

Right...but only includes players through the 2015 class. So any player recruited after 2015 who ended up in the 2016-2019 drafts weren't included.

It’s pathetic
Not as pathetic as your coaching staff telling Washington targets including Savelle Smalls that 'OKG' was a racist thing and that there's a reason UW has so many white guys on their roster.

Peter King: Kirk Ferentz is a beloved coach on the [NFL] trail

Peter King: Kirk Ferentz is a beloved coach on the [NFL] trail

It's been well-documented over the past decade that Iowa football head coach Kirk Ferentz has put two and three-star players in the NFL. He's made a career out of identifying under-the-radar high school players and turning them into NFL draft picks. He's done it with guys like Joshua Jackson, Desmond King, Marshall Yanda, Josey Jewell, and many others.

Former Sports Illustrated writer Peter King went on Dan Patrick's radio show this week and gave some of the highest praise possible to Ferentz. His ability to scout talent, honestly assess his players and his charisma are appreciated by NFL scouts.

"When scouts go into a program, there isn't anybody, except maybe besides Nick Saban that they trust more than Kirk Ferentz at Iowa," King said. "Kirk Ferentz is a beloved coach on the trail because he's coached in the NFL, coached under Bill Belichick, he's had multiple opportunities. If he snapped his finger he could have an NFL coaching job. He's loved in the NFL."

King also had praise for former Iowa tight end T.J. Hockenson. The 6-foot-5 251-pound tight end is listed as the best tight end prospect entering this NFL Draft. He is the widely-regarded as the best tight end prospect in the last decade. Only eight tight ends have gone in the first round over the last 10 NFL drafts and the Hawkeyes have two tight ends that could go this year in Noah Fant and Hockenson.

"He believes right now that Hockenson is the type of tight end who if you said you got to be Mark Bavaro--well he wouldn't be him as a blocker. He could be a [Rob] Gronkowski type. I'm not saying he'll be as good as Gronkowski, but he's a great two-way tight end."

Those comments from King can only help on the recruiting trail. The Hawkeyes currently have nine commits in the 2020 recruiting class. Iowa has the 10th ranked 2020 recruiting class according to 247Sports.

Ferentz is entering his 21st season as Iowa's head coach and he'll face one of the most difficult schedules that he has had in the last decade. The Hawkeyes will be making road trips to Iowa State, Michigan, Northwestern, Wisconsin and Nebraska. Iowa will be returning a wealth of experience in third-year starting quarterback Nate Stanley, third-year starting offensive tackles Alaric Jackson and Tristan Wirfs, and they'll have preseason All-American defensive end A.J. Epenesa.

“Certainly, we’re a totally different football team and have a lot of challenges moving forward,” Ferentz said during his opening Spring press conference. “What doesn’t change is for us to have a good football team, we’re going to expect and need our best players, our most experienced players, to continue to grow and develop.

“They’ve got to play their best football next year.”
