My boy is playing and they want me to help with the practices and drills. The rule is you need to have Helmet, Shin Pads and Gloves at minimum, and the recommend pants and elbow pads. I don't have forward stuff.

I've been to local Play it again sports stores, but it's often somewhat difficult to find equipment that fits me right. I am 6'4" and 245 (with, apparently, a big, bulbous head). I could wait for Rick Nash to put his stuff on the bus and steal it, I guess. I would prefer my stuff not have the stench of failure attached to it, though. :D

Where do you buy gear online? I am okay with used.

If you are looking for absolute cheapest...just go to like craigslist or ebay and find some old used equipment for good prices.

If you are looking for decent deals on good, new equipment...I go to hockey monkey.
