Not a good series so far. One game the starting was suspect and the next the bullpen blew it.

I didn't realize how fast Fister worked.

And man, Tony Watson picked a bad night to have a bad outing. We needed that game last night.

That strike two call on Ike Davis was completely inexcusable. It started at his mouth and finished at his back shoulder. In no league anywhere is that a strike, or even close to one. Ultimately cost us a run, too.

I'd love to argue this, but you are right. It was a gift, no doubt.

Rough series, don't get why Michael Martinez is on this team anymore. Mercer gets hurt, and Harrison is playing ss, no reason Martinez shouldn't' be DFA'd, and bring up Lambo for an extra bench bat.

Nothing is more deflating to a team than giving your bullpen the lead and watching winnable games get flushed down the toilet by them.

ouch!

Yep, and their best two relievers are the ones at fault here.

martinez, send him down and bring up another. if you need a MIF, then bring one up and try them out. if not, bring up lambo.

having the BP blow the game is why i am always in favor of having a decent closer even if you aren't competing and they only throw 40-50 innings per year as the games you work hard to win, you want to get the win. it is very re-enforcing and encouraging to come away with the win and very deflating when you don't.

Makes me still wonder why the likes or Morel, Nix or Martinez were not DFA'ed over Hague?
