Didn’t break any rules…Yes. Nevertheless, it was just smart football by Pickett.

I thought it was great. The first time I saw it was Joe Montana in the 49ers playoff game against the Giants in 1984. He ran and faked going out of bounds. When the Giants players slowed down he took off down the sidelines for an additional 25 yards but the Giants defense clobbered him on the play once they caught up.Sure to be an "unsportsmanlike conduct" penalty next year.
yep.Didn’t break any rules…
...fact is:yep.
I have no dog in this fight. not a pitt fan, don't give a squat about this QB. but the fact is, all he did was drag his toe a little. He wasn't close to a "slide" at all. get over it.
Yeah, I mean he saw an opportunity to continue to run and took it. I don’t fault him for that instant decision, but it does violate the spirit of the original rule....fact is:
“It was intentional,” Pickett said. “I just kind of started slowing down and pulling up and getting ready to slide and I just kind of saw their body language and they just pulled up as well. … I have never done that before. I just kind of kept going after I initially started to slide.”
