F-1 ,moves to Belgium this week to see if Hamilton can bury the rise of Verstappen who has surpassed Bottas as a consistent threat to winning races. Hamilton has met the challenge and continues to pound the rest of the field. We shall see if Verstappen can continue to apply pressure for the win this week.

Verstappen and Ricciardo take P1 and P2 respectively. Hamilton is third and Albon fourth in FP2.

Red Bull leads the charge after Practice 2.

No one was even close to Hamilton in qualifying. Rain is a threat for tomorrow but we'll see if it happens.

Impossible to bet against Hamilton right now, nice to see Ricciardo in P4 but last time they qualified well it didn't translate to the race, he has a shot if it rains though

My hope is for a dry start and then rain from lap 5 or so in.

Hamilton is just on another level. Like Michael Jordan/Wayne Gretzky/Tiger Woods levels of dominance.

Since we have no idea what the weather will do it's a toss up, but I am betting on a wet race and I would love to see Danny Ric on a podium.

I wonder if they can write it into the sporting regs that there has to be at least 20 laps of rain at Spa? Like set up sprinklers on the side of the track.

Can be such a boring race sometimes, even though it's the best track (IMO) on the planet.


Oh, and watching the replays I don't think it was adequately expressed how close we came to losing George Russel. The Halo did it's job, but if those suspension pieces were turned toward him and a couple inches higher that coulda been nasty. As silly as IndyCar's aeroscreen looks, it might just be a brilliant idea.
