After the Big Indy 500, IndyCar moves on to the Belle Isle Circuit for the Detroit Grand Prix, sponsored by Chevrolet. It is always interesting to see who comes-out aggressively to sort of heal the wounds from the Indy 500. Should be another straight forward IndyCar race on Sunday.

Andretti's driver for next year, Kirkwood is leading Practice 1 for the Detroit Grand Prix.

Newgarden takes pole for tomorrow's dash on Belle Isle. Sato was 2nd, followed by Pagenaud, and Castroneves.

I'll go with Newgarden, Pagenaud, Sato, O'Ward.

Newgarden still leads but it is early and Dixon is on the move.

Will Power has driven away from everyone else but everyone is going to have to stop at least once more before the end of the race.

6 Laps left and Power leads Rossi.

Power wins the race followed by Rossi and Dixon. The race officials are determining the final order of finishing outside of the top three because Newgarden dove into the pits on the yellow flag that was thrown at the end of the race.

Newgarden is listed as the 4th place finisher but that may change. We will have to wait a day or two for the final results.
