I got the ice gear out of storage a couple of weeks ago. Can't wait.

I think it is going to be a mild winter. With a little more snow than normal.

If I am wrong, I already have my winter's worth of firewood ready to keep the family room a nice and balmy 75 degrees Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from December through March. I usually do not have a fire if it is above 40 degrees.

We left for the lake Tuesday night, spent the morning catching white bass.

No fishing this trip. I bought an old pontoon we are restoring and the weekend was spent pulling the axle off the trailer. I need to order new leaf springs, tires and wheel bearings. Gonna do the work at home then bring the axle back up next week. Then I'm hauling it to the boat shop to have the motor checked. If it runs I'll have it winterized, if not I'll buy a new one in the spring.

Good to hear ye got yerself a boat. You and your family will enjoy that.

The fishing is starting to heat back up as the water temp starts to cool. We caught plenty.

We are gonna head back to the lake on Tuesday evening again.
