A buddy of mine caddies out on the tour right now... He posted this last night.
And y'all think the PGA Tour plays on perfect greens every week?!? They may look good on tv but check out the greens late in the day at Torrey Pines. Gonna make those three footers tough. -At Torrey Pines Golf Club

In all fairness, Torrey Pines is a muni. A lot of people don't realize that. City course, cheap to play, super crowded, and hack central.

They will keep it in muni shape right up until the tourney. They shut it down right before the tourney, double cut them, and roll them. They will be fine. Not Augusta - but fine.

Doesn't the PGA frown upon taking pictures like this and then posting them?

But those do look terrible... but come tournamanent time they will be ready

Phil is helping redesign the north course. People were happy to hear he is looking to widen the fairways and make it more friendly for the locals.

Plenty of "fresh lettuce" outside of those fairways from what I have seen. Cali has been "bone dry" all winter, have the greensmen been watering the shit outta those 2 courses before play arrived?:noidea:
