Ouch. That one sucked but I honestly don't get as worked up as I used to about losses. I think the Kings have looked good the past 3 losses, just couldn't get it done. No Brown in the lineup and Quick let in a softy. I liked the heart and come back from 2-0.

I have a lot of faith in this team this year and I think they can make another run. Not gonna be easy, and they need to finish strong, but I thought they played well tonight. Also, Kopitar needs to find a new lucky stone or something because he can't buy one. He looks awesome, but can't get one in.

Not sure what it is, they play solid for long stretches of time and then fuck the dog on what seems like plays they should have covered.

Halpern? Did that guy ever even score in LA the 45 minutes he was here?

PS - watching that ASG video from 2002 today, I saw Modin's name and forgot he played for LA for minute.

He is serviceable, but he isn't as great as most Kings fans think. He's like Laperierre, the fans' love for him was based on emotion, not on results. Same thing as Simmonds. Unfortunately, your man crush on Brown doesn't win games.

Replacing Brown with a guy like Pearson in the line up is a step down and that's saying a lot considering he is a 25 point captain this season. As much as I think Brown is overrated he is needed more than those kids this time of the season.

The problem i was refering to is the Kings were so worried about bringing in or up a scorer that they got rid of third line guys. Brown fits there but without him the kids cant fill that spot. As much as Gaborik has opened ice for the top lines, Brown has solidified the third. Now i think Stoll, Brown and ?? On the third cost way too much for that role, it is what the Kings need to do until cheaper players come along

The signs were there last season, most people missed them. He got hurt leading up to the playoffs, so people said "yeah, he's hurt" but in reality his play was spotty at best from January to May. Very inconsistent and all over the map. His injury was the tail end of the crap, not the beginning.

I agree, guys like Pearson, Vey, etc. shouldn't have to lock down a third/fourth line to get experience. Not right now anyway, while the Kings are in a dog fight to lock down a playoff spot. If the Kings were on cruise control like Anaheim or in the toilet like Buffalo, go for it -but as last night showed, no one below the Kings are going away easy and not having Brown in there, an experienced veteran no matter how much he sucks cock, hurts the team.

I'm still sticking to my guns, dude needs to be moved before July 1 so he doesn't become a long term, $6 million third liner for LA.
