We occasionally see signs of brilliance in the Phils' starting pitchers but their performances have been erratic over the last two years. Most are healthy and seem to be capable, but obviously, they need more experience at the ML level and that will take time. There's a load of talent there so you have to be hopeful. Some will go the way of the Pettibons and Buchanans of the recent past. It's hard to say whether even a pitching coach change would speed things up but it might be worth a shot. Fans will have to be patient much longer. Drink up!
