The Rodney dangerfield of running backs. The kid plays with fiery passion, yet does not get the respect he deserves amongst the pundits. I’m predicting he out does himself once again 1300 yards, 11 tds. Another 400 or so through the air. What say ye

He reminds me of Clinton Ports. I see him take advantage of limited run blocking because he's so quick, the hole doesn't have to exist for very long. Other backs will look bad behind the exact same blocking.

I would love to see he and Freeman both crack 1000 rushing yards this year.

The running game will have to be good early for the Broncos to be successful as I believe the passing game might start out a bit slower.

I just hope he stays healthy. Passing game is gonna need all the help it can get. An average QB with untested receivers isn't a great recipe for success.

I love Philip Lindsay - the "Tasmanian devil" was one of his CU nicknames. At the start of Training Camp Lindsay looked a little chubby to me - he should be peaked in conditioning for this game.

I'm guessing that as a general rule - the Broncos will be sending Royce Freemen in between the tackles and Lindsay on the edge or out in space on a pass reception. If Philip Lindsay gets the ball and he has 3-4 yards of clearance from a tackler - the odds in bringing him down are very poor. He is flat out one of the best open field runners in today's game - his super power is balance - and his hole card is acceleration. I'm looking forward to his season. I want to see many - Number 30 Mile High Salutes (Empower Salutes?).

I don’t like the idea of “splitting carries”. Lindsay is a better, more explosive runner. Something we have been missing. ZBS is custom made for this guy, and he brings an attitude to our offense. Our offense goes through Lindsay

My guess is they will ride the hot hand. Hopefully both stay healthy all year.

There is no way you don't "split" carries with Lindsay... Lindsay is too small to give him 25 carries game in and game out. He will never stay healthy. You want him sharing carries to be the most effective RB he can be for us. Not many RB's in the NFL don't share carries.

Use them in the right situations and you won't even notice they are "sharing"

CU gave Lindsay 30 plus touches per game - his toughness was always there, but the wear on his body had an affect on his quickness and acceleration. This is why Lindsay wasn't sought after in the draft - his film showed occasional, but not consistent burst and quickness. Preserve Lindsay's body by using him less - gives you a much better weapon.

Right- Colorado ran the hell out of Lindsay... Don't wanna do that to him in the NFL. Not good for his long term career. Lindsay doesn't need 20-25 carries to be effective in the NFL. You need to be smart how you use him. You may have a game where you need him to carry the ball 20-25 times, you may have another game where he does what he needs to do in 12 carries.

Nobody should really get 30 plus carries in the NFL in today's game.

What’s his contract status? Do undrafted free agents sign the same 4 year deal as everyone else, or a shorter one?

They become exclusive right after three years. Sign a tender then can become UFA after year 4.

I hope Lindsay gets an extension this off-season. He deserves a bit of a pay raise.

My favorite - yet unseen play - would be to fake it to Phillip Lindsey up the middle and then throw it to him about 5-7 yards down the center of the field.

So with our oline, that's like a 7 step drop, right?
