Texans (They are pretty well signing a new 53 man roster)

His appreciation thread came years ago but Malik Jackson signed with the Browns just a bit ago.

Hard to believe a 190 pounder with a 4.8 career average, guy is a stud!

He and Mark Ingram will battle it out for carries behind one of the worst OL's in the NFL.... I would imagine the Texans will draft a RB too. I have never seen a team sign so many free agents in one offseason as the Texans have now.. Tons of 1 year contracts. All the best to Lindsay... I think he is a solid player but I think he is also a bit overrated. He is good at certain things, but there is also a lot that he lacks to be a long term RB. I think he will bounce around the NFL until he loses his speed. Between injuries and his inability to help in the pass game and blocking he was more of a one trick pony and we simply had a better RB starting ahead of him.

Hate seeing Philip leave but I understand why the Broncos moved on.

He will make 3.5 m. Good for him. He has a chance to cash in for more next year with the cap going up a little bit more. You will notice a lot of 1 and 2 year contracts this year with the cap going down unless of course you are one of the elite free agents of this draft class. Even guys like JuJu re-signed for 1 year... Marvin Jones for 2... Seems like it might be a smarter year in free agency to get a good 1 year deal and gamble on yourself for next year.

Lindsay signs with the Texans. I don't think this is a smart move my him and his agent. The Texans just cut a starting Olineman to save $3 million and Lindsay joins a crowded backfield with Johnson and Ingram.

Same thought. Bad OL is my concern. I feel not the best fit for Lindsay but Johnson is injury prone and Ingram is about done, imo. But yeah. But 3.5 m would be hard to pass for one year.

I’m sure PL is grateful for the chance Denver gave him, but basically we took three of his best years for next to nothing in NFL terms just to kick him down the road. Meanwhile, Melvin Gordon needs a wheelbarrow to carry his wallet.

Philip is not unique on that fact. Many undrafted players face that reality.

Let’s be honest, Bronco fans overrate Lindsay. He is a good RB, worthy of playing in the NFL. Should have been drafted. But he was overhyped from the start. One trick pony. Melvin Gordon is a much better all around RB.

Disappointed to see Lindsay go, been following his career since his days at CU. Too bad he's a Texan now. Because that franchise seems like a dumpster fire at the moment.

One year contract at least. Most players this offseason seem to be signing one year contracts with hope to cash in next year. Next years Free Agency is gonna be lit.

I hope he can be productive in Houston. It would be nice to see him land with a playoff caliber team after his one year deal is up.

Is Hunt a free agent after next year or the year after? Lindsay would be perfect behind Chubb.

I don't follow contracts so I'm not really sure. Had to look it up. He's under contract until next season. I wouldn't mind Lindsay in Cleveland if Hunt moves on. Always been a fan of his.

You would have to think that Hunt will be viewed as a starter with his next contract.

I agree, but he's the hometown kid.
I think the hometown kid went farther with Elway then it does with Paton. Paton evaluated the roster and made a decision. Lindsay was a fan favorite because he was a hometown kid, he was an underdog, and the fire/energy he brough to the field.
