BTW, Arrieta's contract has a player buy-out unless the Phils re-up him before the contract expires for twice his present salary ($20.2M) which would be $40.4 M after this season. yeah, i wasn't ready to concede this until that final out was on the board. still hope they can make a run, but it has to start with the hitting.

can't believe pivetta was blindsided by them moving him to the pen, or i shouldn't say blindsided, but he can't believe they are asking him to try something else out where he can do better than his current era.
