Might be time to give Hernandez a couple of days off. Put Herrera at 2nd base and let Quinn play center and lead off.
Have Hoskins bat 4th and Santana 3rd. I can see that working well for the offense.

This article gets it right in that it was a good idea to whiff on Hamels the second time around as he is beginning to fail again but the Phillies screwed-up by not signing Daniel Murphy. According to this article, Murphy would have made a bigger impact with the Phillies for practically nothing than all the veteran bats they eventually ended-up signing.

Here is proof that Flex is an idiot. Hoskins is hitting .239 batting 2nd in 326 at bats. Hoskins is hitting .302 batting 4th.
However only 116 at bats. Batting 4th he would target out to hit 35 home runs, 125 runs batted in, and 105 runs scored.
based on a season total of 580 at bats. We would score more and win more if he hit 4th every day!
The lineup is fucking retarded. Has been all year.

I finally go to a game.
Nola is dealing.
Herrera owns Sherzer.
But wait...

I'm one of those who felt that Hamels would have made a nice addition to the Phils in August despite his meh stats, and I've been foaming at the mouth after seeing his Cubs' stats, like a good hindsighter. And yes, Murphy, the Phillies killer, could have been put to good use down the stretch.

I like it but I can't buy into the Phillies reaching and staying in first long enough to claim the division title, not with a negative run differential. Of course, in the long run, I can handle being surprised and pleased.

The truth is, if I put $2,000 on the Phils to take the pennant, they’ll continue to do the same shit they did tonight. Even with all that added firepower. Fill it to the brim, barkeep!

Pass the flask! Hey, nobody thought they would do it in 08 either, just sayin' gotta believe.

The Flex way of taking pitches is not working. Team batting average of .235 is proof in he pudding. So many strike 3s with runners on base etc.

I have stated all along that the mess known as the dildoes/Phillies begins in the FO and now this is some of the evidence.

https://www.yahoo.com/sports/phillies-director-player-development-joe-212905548.html

We know the Phillies are greatly improved over last year’s 63 wins, even if they flounder and barely reach 83. The collapse since August is hard to figure. I keep blaming the lineup, in part, and not playing real baseball, with the clever use of the bunt. Last night, Quinn is 9th, Cesar in the middle, very odd. Is Franco on vacation?

Now, they bring in Rollins to impart more wisdom. Too much advice ain’t good. Also, Sounds a little like in ‘64 when Mauch brought in Don Hoak, which created a negative influence in the dugout, as one theory suggested.

Quinn is a leadoff guy. Flex is an idiot.Speed belongs in the front.
