Lets sign Tyson to pitch. Push comes to shove, he can always knock the hitter out if he gets behind in the count. Mike Moron is another piss-poor attempt by the jackwads in the FO to look like they know what the hell they are doing. Oh I forgot. That Phillies seasoning will make him an All-Star!

The Dildoes are talking to the Tigers about a trade for lefty Matthew Boyd and closer Shane Greene for a trade on or before the trade deadline in a week. A blind squirrel finds a nut once and awhile.

I have my doubts about Boyd. He did have 10 quality starts in April and May. However, he looked more like Pivetta or Velasquez the last two months, where in his last six starts, he’s given up four or more runs, that is, 26 runs in 35 innings, 6.00+ ERA. Sounds like the old concealed arm problem (that gets revealed after he signs). I think Klentak will pass because we already have a Nick and Vinny, and Smyly did well in his start.

Agreed! Back off Boyd!

Granted Boyd is dumpster quality but we seem to be good at diving at garbage, I.e. Smyly. Greene is the better of the two and maybe this a package deal.

It's hard to figure how Boyd could put up 2.55 and 2.78 numbers in April and May, then double those the last two months. If it's not physical, may be psychological after realizing the Tigers are hopeless, like pleeease trade me. :dhd:

Anyway, we'll learn more tonight in the match up with Nola.

Well here we are again just one week from the trade deadline and the Phillies are once again implicated in the rumor mill. First, the Phillies were supposedly in talks with Matthew Boyd and Shane Greene. That might have been true but once again nothing has been done to get at least Greene into a Phillies uni.

Now the Phillies are rumored to be involved in a potential trade to bring Trevor Bauer and/or Zach Grienke, boith of whom would improve our pitching beyond just having Nola and hoping for the best with the rest of the rag-arms we have.

I suspect that this latest trade scenario is going to end the same way that the first ended. With a lot of bullshit and no action to improve our bullpen. And that is the difference between this jackass FO and say the Dodgers or Minnesota or even Houston or the Bitches.

All this FO does is talk. They don't do much else and this is more of the same bullshit that they have been pulling for the last decade. you watch, the Bitches will pull the trigger to obtain Stroman and they'll come out of it better than the Phillies for sure.

MLB trade deadline rumors: Phillies have interest Trevor Bauer, Zack Greinke; Braves 'obvious suitor' for Marcus Stroman

We do not have the players to trade. May have to trade Franco.

Well whata-ya-know. We are on a 3-game winning streak. The Nuts lost today so we are a game back from them and the Bitches have lost two-straight and we are just 5 back of them. Good grief. Maybe the Dildoes will permanently retire for this year and we can win the NL East.

Mets trade prospects for Stroman! Other teams grow stronger. Why not us!

Stroman's a good pitcher, 2.96 and 13 quality starts, but a rare 5.54 last season. Mets must be planning on next year. Gotta get them when their available.

Late News! Phlllies trade Mets for J. Vargas. Gave up minor league catcher. (low end.) Vargas is a lefty. Number 5 starter type. .Good for 5 or 6 innings. probably a rental.

Nice! It only took 100 games to realize they should have a lefty in the rotation. On the plus side, at least he's better than Smyly

36-year old Vargas is at 4.01; 5.77 last year. Another dive rental but the Phils can always use another arm. Smart Mets making room for Strohman.
