Bruce is not a bad substitute to replace Odubel who seems to have domestic issues all of a sudden. What a dumbass to beat the crap out of a youngster who barely passed the age of 18. WTH? You that damn bored?

She may have been an AC slut rather than his girlfriend, not that it matters.

I had hoped the Phils would be a 93-win contender but their pitching is so erratic, we may have to settle for an 86-76 couldn’t put it all together season. Still not ready to compete with the heavyweights Dodgers, Bosox, Yank, etc.

Our starting pitching is a problem. Now we must score more runs to overcome. Maybe we can add pitcher by deadline.

That is the kind of shit I was hoping this FO would avoid this year but they failed again and Keuchel goes to the Bitches which are nipping at our heals. That is one reason I was bitching-up a storm for the Phillies FO to sign both pitchers but they just do the dumbest stuff when a glaring opportunity to improve the club is right at their feet. :L

Braves outbid Yankees, sign Dallas Keuchel to one-year deal, per report

Looks like they should have tried to sign Kimbrel.

Gonna need to find some bullpen arms. At least this hopefully explains some of his struggles this year.

Spot on Guy. They should have signed both pitchers. The one went to Chicago, the other to Atlanta. It was just a lack of vision and a killer instinct by a stupid, braindead FO.

you think too highly of Dallas and signing kimbrel doesn't fix the fact that seemingly the entire BP has been injured.

Kuechel signed a one-year deal. He'd be an upgrade, but unless he regains his 2015 form, it would be an upgrade to the back half of the rotation, which isn't worth $13 million.

Bullpen arms are usually cheaper to acquire, and Neris coming back into form has definitely brought down the urgency to sign a closer.

I'd still like to have better bullpen arms, but I understand the FO financially not wanting to put the cash into Kimbrel, in that regard.

I get this argument

But on the other hand if the Phillies FO wanted to go all in this year - and indications were that they did with their "going to spend somewhat stupidly this off season" remark - they should have have signed both pitchers as @Retroram52 said

Not only would it be an upgrade - maybe a small upgrade as you mentioned but an upgrade just the same

And at least IMO more importantly you keep those pitchers from the teams you are battling against

What's done is done though - we'll see how it plays out

Yea that was a good move Taddy but I am still not satisfied BECAUSE we continue to ignore the obvious pitching weakness we continue to have. Maybe things will get better when so many come back from the IR and present active pitchers get better but the Phillies just will not address pitching and that has got us behind the Bitches by almost two games now because the Bitches did address their pitching woes which was one of their glaring weaknesses. That and we continue to have games where we do not do anything in the scoring department.

I believe this franchise just does not know what the hell they are doing, most of the time.

Rumor Mill. Moniak for Bumgarner trade. Several teams want Madbum so the Phillies may be stepping up!
Hope we get it done. Would fill a void!
