Let the "they're signing both Harper and Machado!!!!" hype intensify.
I think you're right! And then they'll get a lefty starter, and start trading some players and prospects.

Phillies are set in starters. They want to look at their young pitchers for another season.I think you're right! And then they'll get a lefty starter, and start trading some players and prospects.
Yeah, I've never understood the rumors that he's a backup option if they don't get Machado. I don't see how he provides anything more than Franco (even if he doesn't breakout further from what he did last year) and comes cheaper. For some reason the Phillies may pursue Moustakis as a 3rd base option. It irks me to think that they would give up on Franco. Give him a full season at 3rd. This could be his break out year. He is capable of 30 homers and might hit around .280 or so. Just a gut feeling!
We got him! Love the Realmuto pick-up. Get an All Star catcher to go with Harper and Machado. LOL!!
This article does a good job at a synopsis of the emerging Phillies with the Realmuto trade. I think we could go into the year without Harper or Machado and do quite well. See for yourselves.
The Phillies are close to winning the offseason after Realmuto trade, but here's what else they need to do
I can't help but wonder. What goes through the minds of free agents holding out for 300 million dollars. Put me in their place and I would gladly sign now for 235 to 250 million. I would never be able to spend it all anyway. Plus it would ease my mind. Both Harper and Machado are playing a game to see who signs first and who gets the most.
Would you come out of your room with 250 million to spend?Prices on palaces, land, Ferarries, Bugattis, and jewelry are always going higher. If you're 25, you gotta have it all now!

I hear you. With that kind of money you could purchase ROOMS to go!Yeah, but I'd come out faster for $300 mill.
