Great 10-year reliever for the Yankees. 8-3, 3.23 last year with 90 Ks and only 26 walks so his arm must still be healthy. The guy is totally consistent over the years but he will be 34 next April. 2 years, $23 mill, why not, I guess, to improve the BP. Harper, Harper, Kluber, Kluber. Let's spend more money. Plenty still in the cash box, Klentak! Still awake, Middleton?

nah, but vinny from what i can recall tends to start out well (or implodes early), but the implosion eventually comes.

that's what i'm not getting from the people that don't want harper or Machado. what great signings or draft picks has this team done in recent years that you'd be worried about the team misses out on in the future?

If we can get Harper and Machado, I'll believe the FO has turned a corner. Which corner I don't know but Northeast is right. Unless we change that flippin' idiot manager, we are screwed no matter who we bring into the fold.

Pretty much my feelings as well although at this point I hope they don't sign either of Harper or Machado as their contract will become a lead weight handcuff plus Kapler will surely piss them off with his bonehead management style.

looking at both links, pretty much every FA is 30 or above, such is the nature of the game. that's why if you can get a stud that's mid 20s, it's not the worst thing in the world.
