Harang vs Gonzalez. Harang has been pitching like a number one this season. Gonzalez has been off his game lately. Ruf is 6-18 with 2 Homeruns and 6 Rbis against Gonzalez. Howard is 0-11 against him. Look for Ruf and Frenchy to start today against the lefty. The Edge goes to the Phillies. Look for Phillies to chase Gonzalez by the 6th inning. The Phillies have gone from unwatchable to interesting in the last two weeks.
Last but not least, they will be more watchable when Nola gets here. (Whenever Amaro allows it!)

Just think retro. We could be so much better with a normal GM. Teams like Tampa, Minnesota, Oakland and so on
have GMS that promote talent instead of holding them back and blocking them. But it's true that they don't have the money to sign free agent blockers so they must use their brains. But as you said we are stuck with braindead

Ryno is an idiot. We have 5 more guys in the pen and he picks the worst reliever in baseball. Diekman needs to go
or he should only be used when we have a big lead.

I had some hope for these 3 games but I'm a dreamer. You can't play baseball with a different lineup everyday. Guys like Ruf and Rupp can't be expected to do more than 1 for 5 playing every 4 or 5 days. Or they may even stink. Howard's the key. I know if we keep him, as I had been hoping, he'll end up with a bad leg so I guess the correct thing to do is a trade by the deadline and try to get a mid to high level prospect. Yes - mid to high. Why help teams win for nothing. If Howard goes, I hope we get to see him in a World Series.

Yeah, the fans can only root for the Howard-Franco combo & company, and hope for the best. I don't even want to think about the years ahead searching for the team that finally clicks.
