Phillies -Nationals Gamethread--Friday.

O'Sullivan VS Sherzer. No Question that the Nats have the upper hand in this one. However if the Phillies could pull out a win tonight it would be big. Scoring runs against a top notch pitcher would be a big confidence booster. O'Sullivan is a question mark as of now. The Nats have been scoring some runs lately,
butWorth is on the DL so that helps a little. This series will be tough for the Phillies. They must bring their A game!

Scherzer beat the Phils twice in one week in April allowing only a single ER in each start, striking out 17 and walking two. Ironically, O'Sullivan was his opponent in both games, giving up 6 ERs. That's depressing. Asche had 3 hits in one game. Duh. Herrera had 2 hits in each game. Now's the time for the new kid and the new Howard to say "enough of this shit!" Alright! Where's my meds?

One takeaway. OSullivan was in control, 5 hits in 6 innings, except for the Harper HR. Anyone but Scherzer and things could have been different.

If Odubel would have put the ball in play and not try to hit one out of the park we would increase the chances of getting one or more runs in and to actually win the damn game. Money ball at its best but you know who is clueless.
