Phillies Inconsistent Hitting for 3 Months

I was looking at Phillies individual monthly hitting and it's clear why they can't put anything together. Try making a good lineup that has consistency out of this! It is interesting that both rupp and ruf have been improving in their limited playing time. Maybe crowd the front of the lineup with the "hot" players and let the rest work it out. If brown can't hack it, get ruf back and play him daily. Nothing to lose there. Get rupp more playing time. Ashe's a special case with the adjustment he's had to make. He should turn it around.

Yea, sit Ruiz. He can no longer make the the throw to second with any sort of speed. He has missed the last three throws to second on steals and I really am not counting with any sort of detail. And send that idiot Brown along with Francoeur somewhere along with a host of just bad pitchers that braindead has assembled.

You can also throw in poor management as well. Sandberg has lost any control possible over this team.
He can not manage the pen at all. He put Frenchy at risk by letting him throw 48 pitches in relief. he could have used Paps who only pitched for one inning in the last 8 days. Frenchy should have been pulled after one inning.
Merry go round lineups are also the norm with Sandberg. Blanco is the one shining star as a utility player but he often goes unnoticed. Why wait any longer? Gilliv

I don't think just getting rid of the dead weight is going to solve much. Amaro really needs to stop screwing around and pull the trigger on trading some of the other players so they will actually have some decent guys on the farm to bring up. If they want to get some good prospects they need to just say right now that for someone like Hamels they will pay most of his salary but they will expect a good return. That would make his value at it's highest right now because the sooner a team got him the sooner they could benefit from his services.

Yeah, they really need to get the dead weight at the top first. And hopefully the new guy will be smart enough to trade the players that still have value left to build up the farm system
