Williams against Bradley. We can only hope that Williams will last 6 innings without giving up more than 3 runs. Bradley has been pitching well thus far. Ruf has been benched again. Francouer gets the start in left while Speedy gets a rest. We will need to score some runs to continue the win streak. Hope Franco hits a
homerun tonight!

Galvis gets a walk in the first to increase his OBP to .418 no one else on the team is even close. Howard doesn't get it and takes a called 3rd strike. 0-0, end first.

Sizemore and Frenchy get the starts while Ruf gets more bench rot.

I hate to be Debbie downer about Maikel Franco, but it's hard to be optimistic when he swings at the first pitch every time up. And it's not just that. The guy has power, he hit hrs, a ton of doubles and was hitting .355 in triple A-and his obp was still under .400. That is hard to do. Go back to his last callup last September and he had over 50 ABs and 1 walk. Someone has to teach him some patience, if it is possible to do that at this point in his career.

Frenchy gets a pass with that homer but Sizemore better do something with the bat today or I will verbally attack Ryno!

Franco flails at pitches in his sleep. Give him a heavier bat to slow his swing.

So far he's hit the ball on the nose but right at somebody. The law of averages says he'll soon get some hits.

I'm sure he will, I'd just like to see him mix in some walks. But hey he just got one in his 2nd game up, so what do I know

The last guy I remember coming up for the Phillies and hitting immediately was Jeff Stone in the early 80s - two triples in his first 9 ABs. Then he hit .364 in his 2nd year in 51 games. It was downhill from that point on.
