Wainwright will sit comfortably in the hall of very good. Him and Yadi pretty much represent a whole era of Cardinals baseball so they'll be remembered but Molina is the one on the HOF path although there are good arguments for leaving him out, too.

jvett, your enthusiasm and hope for the dildoes is very admirable. I gotta give ya credit on that but I see another shit year for the same reasons as last year and the year before that. No direction or plan by the FO and way too much bullshit thrown up on the wall to see what sticks combined with the eternal dumpster diving as a means to provide at least an appearance of propriety and that they know what they are doing. This leads to the fans getting hyped every year, only to have hopes dashed by the end of the season and the "We Suck" chants showing up.

I agree. The team is just so inconsistent. This year's bullpen in no better than last season's. Not enough guys in the lineup to hit at a steady clip. But hey, (here comes the bullshit) it's still cool. Warmer weather is sure to invigorate the team. A lot of good teams are floundering. Braves are also 11-12 and I think they're better than that.

Yep jvett. Agreed. If they could just get a managerial staff who will stop this "I-am-getting-paid-and-eff-the-wins-and-championship-bullshit" mentality with somebody like some of the ex-champion players we had or even Cholly, then we may have a chance. But you are absolutely correct, This franchise has not made pitching a priority at any level for decades and it shows. Unlike the champion Dodgers and other such clubs.

Phils need to win today and take this road trip series 3-1 which would be the first 4-game series they've won since 2017. Plus, with an 8-4 home record and the Mutts coming into CBP this weekend, winning two of those would help to chase the dildos away. That is, at least until the Brew crew comes in next week with their 3.49 ERA.

It seems Harper could have started today. Why play into the Cards' hands. This loss is a bad omen. They won't be hyped for the Mets this weekend.
