Phils traded Spencer Howard for 33-year old RHP Kyle Gibson, 4.42 ERA life, and 36-year old reliever Ian Kennedy (30 saves in '19) from the Texas Rangers. They had to do something but sounds like a dive to me. Just a guess.

Phils also got Galvis back in a deal with the Baltimore Orioles. Maybe they're going to dump Gregorious.

I had high hopes for Howard but we need to win now. All we can do is root for the new guys. And hope that Wheeler and Nola hang in for the last 2 months.

They should put .202 Gregorious back in the dumpster. Galvis will do better.

I think Gibson is at least a solid starter. But yeah, Kennedy is a dumpster dive IMO. He couldn't keep the ball in the park in KC, how is he going to come in to CBP and not get shelled? Hopefully they use him sparingly.

Yeah. It appeared he injured his hip in one AB in the game today. The guy is fragile. Hope the FO has enough insurance to cover him and his contract.
